These cover the LabX Diagnostics website and the LabX patient app. They are written to be read, not to be survived.

1. What this is

LabX Diagnostic Systems is a CLIA-certified clinical laboratory. Through this website and app you can buy a test, collect a sample at home or have one collected, and read the result the laboratory produces. You pay directly for the test. There is no insurance billing, and the app itself is free — it is how patients of the laboratory reach their own results.

2. What it is not

This is not medical care, and a result is not a diagnosis. A laboratory result is one piece of information. Nothing here — not the explanatory text, the reference intervals, the trends, the biological-age estimate, nor any answer from Vantage AI — is medical advice or a substitute for a clinician who knows your history. If a result is flagged outside its reference interval, or anything concerns you, speak to a clinician. If it is urgent, contact emergency services.

3. Who can use it

You must be 18 or over and ordering for yourself. Do not create an account for another person or order a test in someone else’s name. Some tests are not available in some states; the ordering pages tell you before you pay.

4. Your account

Keep your password to yourself. Results are released into your account and are never sent by email, so anyone with your password can read them. Tell us straight away if you think someone else has access.

You can close your account yourself at any time, in the app or on the website, from your account page. What that does — and what it does not do — is section 8.

5. Collecting your sample properly

A result is only as good as the sample. Follow the instructions in the kit. A sample that is unlabelled, short, collected into the wrong tube, or posted late may be rejected, and a rejected sample means collecting again. Where a collection has to be observed, it has to be observed from a sealed kit.

6. Payment and refunds

Tests are paid for when ordered. If a kit has not yet shipped, contact us and we will refund it. Once the laboratory has run the sample the work is done and the fee is not refundable — that is what you bought. If we make a mistake, we put it right at our cost.

7. Vantage AI (Beta)

Vantage AI answers questions about your own results. It is software, it is in Beta, and it can be wrong. It does not diagnose, it will not tell you to change any medication, and it is not a clinician. Using it sends your results to the model that answers the question. You are asked to acknowledge that before your first use.

8. Closing your account, and what we must keep

Closing your account ends your access. It does not erase the laboratory record. As a CLIA-certified laboratory we are required to retain test records and the data behind them for defined periods. We cannot destroy a result because an account was closed, and you would not want a laboratory that could. What closing does: your login stops working, your results are no longer readable through the portal or the app, and we stop contacting you. The underlying laboratory record is retained for as long as the law requires and is released only to you, to a clinician you authorise, or where the law compels it. You can ask us for a copy of your own record at any time, including afterwards.

9. Availability

We will not promise the service is never down. We will promise your results do not disappear because it was.

10. Limits

To the extent the law allows, our liability for any claim relating to this service is limited to what you paid us for the test the claim relates to. Nothing here limits liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, or anything else that cannot lawfully be limited.

11. Changes

If we change these terms materially we will say so in the app and on the site. Continuing to use the service after that means you accept the change.

12. Contact and governing law

Governed by the laws of the State of Florida. Our privacy policy sets out what we hold and why.
