Common questions about LabX Diagnostic Systems, LLC — testing, specimens, turnaround, results and ordering.
How long does it take to get lab results?
Most clinical and toxicology tests are resulted in 24–48 hours from receipt at the lab. Turnaround varies by assay — each test's page on our
test menu lists its expected turnaround.
How do I order a test or become a client?
Testing is ordered by a licensed provider. If you're a clinic or provider, use our
provider portal to set up an account, order tests, and retrieve reports — or contact us and our team will get you onboarded.
What specimen or tube do I need for a test?
Requirements vary by assay. Every entry on the
test menu lists the preferred specimen, tube/collection container, transport temperature and stability window. See the specimen collection instructions on the test menu for serum, plasma and TB tube handling.
Do you accept insurance, or is testing cash-pay?
We bill insurance and Medicare for tests ordered by a provider with a documented clinical indication, and we offer transparent cash-pay pricing for contracted providers through our physician price book. Patients can pay their bill online through our patient billing portal.
Is LabX Diagnostic Systems CLIA-certified?
Yes. LabX Diagnostic Systems is a CLIA-certified clinical and toxicology laboratory. We follow full chain-of-custody and audit-ready QC documentation on every specimen.
Where is LabX located and what areas do you serve?
Our laboratory is at 5313 Johns Road, Suite 201, Tampa, FL 33634. We serve providers and clinics across Tampa, Hillsborough County and Florida, and accept properly shipped specimens from across the United States.
How do I get my test results?
Providers retrieve reports through the provider portal. Patients can view results and statements through the
patient portal.
What is the difference between presumptive and definitive (LC-MS/MS) toxicology testing?
Presumptive testing is a rapid screen that indicates whether a drug class may be present. Definitive testing (LC-MS/MS) confirms and quantifies the specific substance with high accuracy. Definitive testing should be ordered by the provider with a clear clinical purpose — read more in our
toxicology documentation guide.
How should specimens be shipped and stored?
Each test lists its transport container, temperature and stability window on its
test menu page. In general, spun serum and EDTA plasma should be transferred to plastic screw-cap vials; refrigerate temperature-sensitive specimens and ship promptly to preserve stability.
How do I pay my bill?
Patients can pay securely online through our patient billing portal linked from the Patients section of the site. For questions about a statement, contact us at info@labxdiagnostics.com or 1-800-240-2074.
